If you have ever damaged an Xbox 360 game disc then you will know how heartbreaking it can be to watch $50 or more of software go down the pan. That's why, whenever I buy a new Xbox 360 game, the first thing that I do is make a backup copy.
Hold on though, I hear you cry, that's impossible. Xbox 360 games are all copy protected so you cant just make a backup of them. Well, that's true - they are copy protected but with the right piece of software I can assure you that its easy to make a backup copy in just one, two three easy steps.
First of all, you need to get some specialist game copying software and install it. Then run the software and place the original Xbox 360 game disc into the drive. The software then takes an exact bit-by-bit copy of the contents of the disc - including the copy protection data as well. After about 15 minutes, you need to replace the game disc with a blank DVD of a suitable type - dual layer in the case of Xbox 360 games - and then press the second button on the screen. This will make the software copy the entire disc image onto the blank disc - in effect making an exact copy complete with all the copy protection data.
Using this kind of technology there is literally nothing that you cant back up. Movies, data and even audio discs are all just as easy to back up as well as Xbox 360 and Wii game discs. In fact if its on a disc this kind of software can copy it - in just one, two, three easy steps.
